Overview
A delightful, family-run Castels parc, in a peaceful rural setting opposite the River Loire. Camping L’Etang de la Brèche is five miles from the market town of Saumur. With an upmarket country club atmosphere the parc is extremely well maintained by the owners. There are also spacious grounds for children to explore and a swimming pool complex with four pools surrounded by a pleasant sun terrace. Beautiful old stone buildings surround a courtyard housing a shop, oak-beamed bar and elegant conservatory restaurant. Local trains can sometimes be heard from the parc.

This area is famous for its excellent wine, grown on the banks of the Loire, and is also well known for its mushroom caves and troglodyte houses built into limestone cliffs. The zoo at Doué-la-Fontaine has many wild animals roaming free and is extremely popular with families.
