The pretty wine making village of Santenay is just a short walk from this parc and has a small number of restaurants and shops, plus numerous festivals and events throughout the summer months. Beaune, Burgundy’s wine capital, is a short drive away and is well worth a visit for sampling the region’s many wines. The lively city of Dijon has many splendid historical buildings and monuments laying testimony to its long and glorious history. It is also renowned for its culinary specialities, which can be sampled in the city’s excellent restaurants. Chalon-sur-Saône is a charming market town with pretty old streets and a cathedral.
